Recipe :-
(serves 2; makes 5-6 large cheelas/chilas):
- ♥️ Grate 250g bottle gourd/lauki. Wrap it in a cloth/kitchen towel and squeeze out any excess water
- ♥️ Next, blend 200g tofu, 120g whole wheat flour, and water as needed to make a silky smooth batter, as shown in the video.
- ♥️ Transfer the batter to a larger bowl.
- ♥️ Add 1 large finely chopped onion, 2 medium-sized finely chopped tomatoes, fresh coriander leaves, and a small piece of grated ginger. Mix everything well.
- ♥️ Add the spices: 1 tsp chili powder, 1 tsp coriander powder, ¼ tsp turmeric powder, ½ tsp black salt, ½ tsp amchur powder, and salt to taste.
- ♥️ Heat a non-stick pan and brush ¼ tsp oil for each cheela.
- ♥️ Take a ladle full of the batter and spread it evenly on the pan.
- ♥️ The thinner you spread, the crispier the chilas will be. Serve hot with a bowl of dahi/raita and enjoy a protein-packed, delicious breakfast.
